Recently we’ve been working on…

Aerial and ground filming documenting the Phill Bascombe haulage company and their transportation of a Victorian Wooden Bridge, initially removed from the mainline railway station at Alton and placed onto an extended and low-line trailer.

Our footage was used on several BBC news items including this piece on BBC South Today.

Last summer we filmed the Lymington Italia Festival which followed a convoy of Ferraris as they made their way from the Lymington Yacht Haven, across town to a large open Italian street market. This is a promo video for the 2020 event, unfortunately, which has had to be postponed until the Summer of 2021 due to the impact of the coronavirus.

We captured a range of aerial and external shots for Lagoon Ltd who were creating a video promo for a new state of the art Eco property development by Kubo Homes called The Treehouse.

Recently aired on TV in the latest series of Impossible Engineering, we provided a range of aerial shots for a short feature on Sway Tower, which is still the world tallest un-reinforced concrete structure.

Filming for a renovation/construction promo video of Unit D15 for a short video promo Lagoon Ltd were creating. The building has an interesting history and we were asked to capture a range of aerial shots both indoors and out, this required steady hands especially when flying through the rafters and beams to capture the internal roof space.

Filming across the Solent for a promo film with TVMI for Wightlink. Love that we finally got the shot of the FastCat leaving Portsmouth Harbour – actually took a few takes (with only one chance an hour!) due to other ships, ribs or birds getting into shot just at the wrong moment.

We’ve filmed at Southampton Docks on a number of occasions, but this was the first time inside DP World – the area of the dock used for all of the container transport and shipping.

There was a very surreal sense of scale in the aerial footage with it almost looking like a toy model at times.

We filmed aerial drone and ground footage for Southern Spars and their promo of the 2019 Fastnet Yacht Race. We spent a few hours before the race capturing the atmosphere, interviewing crews and pre-race preparation in Cowes harbour before heading out onto a rib to begin our in-race aerial filming of the action along the Solent and out past the Needles.

Wow! We’ve had such an incredible response from people everywhere on the short promo we made of the iconic Sway Tower and our footage is now being used on TV in the upcoming Impossible Engineering series.

What an amazing building, such fascinating history and so pleased that Aerialview got to work on this and see it up close! For those that don’t know, Sway Tower near Lymington is 66 metres (218 ft) high and and is a Grade II listed building that was built between 1879–1885. Visible for miles around, it is one of Hampshire’s best-known landmarks and remains the tallest non-reinforced concrete structure in the world.

The wonderful Autumnal colours provided the Brockenhurst – Lymington Community Rail Partnership with an ideal opportunity to promote the New Forest as a great location to visit and explore.

Aerialview produced Where Will Your Journey Take You In Autumn? a short film about two families travelling to the New Forest by train, hiring bikes and then exploring the forest.

A big thanks to The New Forest National Park Authority, Forestry Commission, South Western Railways, CrossCountry, Wightlink and all the local businesses for all their help making this happen!

An incredible day filming all the build-up and people travelling to Pride IOW in Ryde. We were briefed to show off the connectivity across the Island and with the mainland. Our filming crew covered a number of locations in the morning along including Lymington, Yarmouth, Shanklin, Southsea and Ryde. We then filmed the Pride parade on the ground and in the air capturing the wonderfully vibrant atmosphere as the day unfolded.

Online promo for R Symons Ltd at their amazing showroom packed out with Tesla cars!

Interesting one this – required a lot of careful and closeup indoor drone flying (with no GPS at times) along with handheld steady cams and sliders to get our shots. Stunning cars and a super helpful company to work with.
